Pyramid vaporizer
The Vapor-Tech Pyramid vaporizer is designed to look as benign and inconspicuous as possible. To the untrained eye, it appears to be an over-sized paperweight in the shape of a pyramid.Although the Greek word pyramidios literally means "fire in the middle", there is no fire involved here, and since there is no fire there is also no smoke. The Pyramid uses a ceramic heating element to turn the essential oils of your herb of choice into a healthy vapour.
This vaporizer is also designed in accord with the concept that hot air rises. The vertically placed heating element is designed for maximum performance.
- Hands free glass whip (filling chamber) included
- Handcrafted wooden case
- Ceramic heating element
- Vertically placed heating element for maximum performance (hot air rises)
- Adjustable temperature
- Easy to use, ready in minutes
- 5 replacement screens
Usage
1. Turn the heat control dial to the desired temperature, and allow the Pyramid to warm up for about 5 minutes.
2. Grind the material you want to vaporize and put it in the glass whip, which you keep in such a way that the warning sticker which says "HOT" is turned upside down. Do not put too much at once. A thin layer of half a centimeter thick is best.
3. As you keep the filling chamber turned upside down, pick up the Pyramid and flip it to the side. Slide the tip of the heating element into the filling chamber and, while holding them together, place the Pyramid on the table again.
4. Begin by taking a few short and fast puffs through the tube. For each consecutive puff, slow down your breath. The slower you inhale, the hotter and stronger the resulting vapour will be. Experiment until you find your ideal breath and temperature range preference on the knob. You will quickly get a feel for this.
5. If the material starts to blacken, turn down the temperature a little or inhale faster. After a few inhalations you will notice your exhaust thinly decreasing, indicating that the material is depleted of its essential oils.
6. Once the material is "spent" and you've allowed the filling chamber to cool down sufficiently, carefully turn the set upside down again and disconnect the filling chamber. Use the wooden stir tool to help remove any stuck material.
Maintenance
The tubing and glass filling chamber can be cleaned by running hot water through them from the mouthpiece down. If build up occurs, soak ONLY the glass mouthpiece in alcohol overnight.
The video below has been shot with the previous Pyramid vaporizer model. The usage of the new model is identical.
Warning
Parts of this vaporizer can get extremely hot, so keep it out of reach of children, pets and combustible materials!

“I repair lot of odd things; recently had one of these brought in. "It's dead!"
After disassembly and inspection, I determined that the heating element was "open".
With the owners permission, I disassembled the heater, and found that one of the leads to the element had broken; the other lead showed damage in the same place. Each lead consists of 3 wires twisted together; one was broken all the way through, and the other had one of the 3 wires broken. It looks like damage during manufacture.
Fortunately, the damage was a few inches away from the heater itself, so I used the smallest brass tubing I could find to make a crimp-splice on each of the leads.
Re-assembly was easy, and the unit now works normally.
Observation: A _considerable_ quantity of herbal material was found inside the base of the unit.
Heater components are well built, and appear to be mostly stainless steel.
The electronics are about as simple as they can be; there is no internal fuse or ground fault protection, but the design is such that there is little or no chance of shock hazard short of accidental immersion. I wouldn't use one of these near the bath tub.
Altogether, I have to say that this product works well; it does what it was designed to do.
