5-HTP (L-5-Hydroxytryptophan) is an intermediate in the natural conversion of the essential amino acid, tryptophan, to serotonin.

Usage
Suggested Use: 1 to 2 capsules once or twice daily with a glass of water. Start with 1 capsule per day, increasing dosage up to 4 capsules daily as needed. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Ingredients
5-HTP (from Griffonia simplicifolia) 50 mg
microcrystalline cellulose, gelatin (capsule), modified cellulose gum, silicon dioxide and magnesium stearate.
Warning
Excess 5-HTP, especially when administered with vitamin B6, causes the liver to metabolize 5-HTP into serotonin, which may result in heart valve damage or disease (cardiac fibrosis). When combined with an MAOi or SSRI, 5-HTP can cause acute serotonin syndrome.
Consult your physician if you want to use this product when pregnant or lactating, using MAO inhibitors, antidepressants or other medicines, suffering from cardio-vascular diseases. This product can cause drowsiness. Keep out of reach of children.
