Cannabis Liberation Day

Cannabis Liberation Day Since 1999 more than 560 cities worldwide haven taken part in the yearly Global Marijuana March (GMM), the aim of which is to raise awareness about the positive aspects of (medical) marijuana and to plea for legalization. The events are held the first Saturday in May, or thereabouts, depending on the city. This year there have been events in 256 cities, with Amsterdam and Antwerpen celebrating Cannabis Liberation Day on Saturday May 9.

We will definitely come to the gathering at the Museumplein in Amsterdam, and hope to see many of you there.

Also in Amsterdam, on Friday the 8th, there will be a press conference and presentation of a new DVD, featuring footage recorded at the Cannabis Tribunal in The Hague (December 1 and 3, 2008). This presentation will start at 11:00 AM in the cinema of Overtoom 301.
