Psychedelic art by Bryan Lewis Saunders

Psychedelic art by Bryan Lewis Saunders

Bryan Lewis Saunders is an American of 41 years old. He is also an exceptional artist. He is at the origin of various conceptual arts movements.

In 1995 Saunders began drawing at least one self-portrait every day for the rest of his life. Then the idea came to him, inspired by The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley, to paint themselves under the influence of different drugs. Some of the drugs artist Bryan Lewis Saunders took are ambien, abilify, nicotine gum, crystal meth, cannabis, cocaine, mushrooms, and others...

A number of his works are now available for online viewing. Some of his artworks were created under the influence of drugs purchased personally, others as a result of products administered in hospitals.
