In Holland we have to wait a bit more until politicians will start their policy making again, so that a decision on the legal status of magic mushrooms can be made. Meanwhile we will update you on two equally interesting and legal psychedelics, the so-called LSD conference and the miraculous Burning Man festival.

World psychedelics Forum – From 21-24 March 2008 there will be another ‘LSD conference’ in Basel, Switzerland. The World Psychedelics Forum welcomes experts from all over the world, who lobby for more research and understanding in the area of psychedelics and the mind. They will present their latest insights, ideas and discoveries.

Burning Man – On August 27, the magical Burning Man festival arose out of nothing in the middle of the Black Rock desert in Nevada for the 21st time. This event was described by the media as an anti-commercial festivity, balancing between carnival and circus, where people are forced by circumstances to rely on each other and entertain themselves with arts.

Heavenly seeds

Minimum age for mushrooms

Dutch Minister of Public Health Ab Klink (CDA) will decide in the first week of September on the legal status of psychoactive mushrooms. That he announced last Thursday. Klink is considering a minimum age for those who buy them. Also the quantity of shops where mushrooms are available should be reduced. Tourists should be informed on the risks of mushroom consumption. A total ban on the product is still an option. Next week you can read on our website whether the sale of magic mushrooms will remain legal in Holland or not.
