Wild Dagga Flowers (Leonotis leonurus)

Leonotis leonurus is also known as wild dagga ('wild cannabis') and lion's tail. Wild dagga flowers and leaves were smoked by the Hottentot tribe of southern Africa because of its euphoric effect. It grows mainly in southern and eastern Africa. The main active alkaloid is leonurine.
In traditional African medicine Leonotis has been widely used as a part of many different treatments. It is also used in case of a snake bite and as a charm to keep snakes away.
Wild Dagga of the leonotis leonurus variety is said to be slightly weaker than Klip Dagga (Leonotis nepetifolia), which contains more leonurine.
Wild Dagga Effects
Calming, Sedating. Slightly Euphoric. The effects are comparable to a cannabis high, only lighter.
Preparing Leonotis Leonurus flowers
Use as tea. For a stronger effect the flowers of lion's tail can be smoked.
Wild Dagga legal status
As far as we know, Wild Dagga is currently completely legal worldwide, since it is not actually directly related to cannabis plants. Note that the legal status may have changed in your country since the time of writing.
Warning
One should use wild dagga with caution. It has shown to be habit forming similar to tobacco.

“Had some more experience with this and i would not recommend buying it, effects are so minimal that they could easily be placebo.
I would like to know if anyone tried the 20x extract and how that worked !”

“Got the leaves and some other fine herbs with the mail this morning, the mail-man woke me up and with a sore throath from smoking a lot of weed the night before i decided to try the dagga first.
Made a bowl of tea from about 1-2 gram, which should be a pretty low dose i guess.
It woke me up entirely, also my roommate told me i was being very hyperactive. Pretty amazing if u consider the fact that i just woke up without sleeping very well and being really tired.
However this stuff is supposed to calm me down not energize ? Maybe because i'm an ''ADHD'' person this works the other way around for me, like f.e speed is known to make me calm.
Anyway it does have some effect, i mixed it with a tea-bag and some honey, its easy to drink but its not delicious or anything like that.”

“I ordered a bunch of herbs from here which arrived yesterday, and in the night/morning I decided to try out the LL-flowers.
Even though it seems people don't like the smoke, I didn't really feel like drinking tea at the time, so I mixed up the flowers with a little Damiana (wich seems to work at a non-documented way on me, being an autist and all) and rolled it up.
Now I think it was a little stupid of me to mix with Damiana, since I really couldn't figure out wich herb did what.
Anyway, my anxiety problems (who before I smoked literally ached in my chest) were all gone within ten minutes, and I felt very at ease with everything.
I really liked this. Thanks!”
