Finally it is possible to cultivate your own Salvia divinorum at home, with cuttings of this wonderful plant. The cuttings are in a strong tube with agar media for the needed nutrients.

@Stig

Do NOT put it in the sun. It needs to root first, putting it directly in the sun could kill the plant.

This is my first time I've ever ordered a salvia cutting and i think i got it in a good condition. I planted in a soil with a touch of vermiculite and perlite, in a transparent glas so i can see when the root system has expanded. For humidity it's in one of your filterbags and some additional vermiculite at the bottom of the bag.. And now it's standing in the window receiving some sun.

But after the replantation, some of the leaves seem slightly curly and have som brown/black spots on the edges? I've read that these spots can occur if the plant/cutting has been stressed, if so, will they eventually dissappear, or will they dissappear if i take a cutting from it later.. if it survives?

:)

Salvia plant arrived here in Germany, in super condition and the shipment was fast! Thanks

Tried some of the dried Salvia leaves. Just at the point that I thought nothing will happen, it hit me! Oh my God... I have tried many things but this is hard to put in words. I was part of my lounge which was filled with spiraling kind of energy blocks moving clockwise even through my body. Time slowed down (Einstein must have smoked this too ;-) ) Nice stuff
I love Azarius!

The cuttings I got arrived in excellent condition and I was able to put all three in new soil without problems. All of them survived and grew into very large, impressive plants. Also, the potency of the plant is in no question. It is very strong and it's simply one of those herbs that really work (even if one really can't recommend the experience warmly).

Perfect shipping Time

I planted my plants on 29-5-2007.
Also installed my camcorder with fast-motion mode to document the growing of 'em.
First analytics of the tape:
-once I forgot the plants in the hard sun for about 45 minutes - (avoid this!!!) the plants got very weak! but the hydration-level was very high after that.
-But now I don't have any more worries, the plants grow straight up right now (even "straighter" than they we're growing before the hard sun shone). The leafes are very green and look very good. I didn't need to water the plants often, the terra was always bit wet and not to dry.

some addition to "to plant":
I did leave the terra very loose! and dug a small hole with my finger into it.
Seems like you don't need to press the terra around the plant like you use to do it with other plants..

hope your plants grow good, too.

I got the cutting in perfekt condition, and they were much bigger than on the photo. I removed as much gel as possible, but some remained on the roots of plant (hope that`s ok). Then I planted it with an ordanary glass over it and watered it. I don`t know how everything is going to go, but right now it seems that all is great ;)
plus, good shipping time!
I do thing that a detailed guide to the plants would be nice, other than that, great!

Very good! I ordered 3 plants some 2 months ago and all of them grew big and strong. In the first 3-4 weaks humidity is the most important! After that time, start to climatize them to normal humidity (1st day take the plant out for 30 min, 2nd day for 1h, 3rd day for 2h, then 3h and so on). And don`t expose it to very intensive sunlight! Good luck ;-)

Cuttings where delivered in good health. As the first poster mentioned, keep up the humidity. I took off the glass after 10 days for about 45 minutes and the plants looked like dying. Put them back and they fortunately recovered.

The cutting was shipped quickly, well packed and in good conditions. The plant is well-rooted and in very good health, but after the potting is very delicate: needs a lot of humidity and light and a constant temperature, about 18-25 Celsius. Beware cold or dry air!!! The soil must be added with sand and the light must be about 10 hours per day. The cutting now seems more happy...Sorry for my bad english!

Salvia cuttings I bought from Azarius showed nice vigor, and as soon as I planted them in pots they started to grow well. Price here is also fairly low! Nice going!
