Our special Bangin’ Guarana Smoothie will certainly get you up in the morning. Guarana contains four times more caffeine than coffee, which makes it the perfect energizer. Also, the caffeine in guarana is assimilated better, and more evenly, by the body than caffeine in coffee. Enough reasons to try this smoothie!
Makes about 2 cups:
220 g strawberries
1 handful of raspberries
1 big glass of soy milk
1 tablespoon Herbs of the Gods guarana powder
For the topping (optional) :
1 tablespoon toasted pumpkin seeds
1 tablespoon toasted sunflower seeds
1 tablespoon grated coconut
To toast the pumpkin and sunflower seeds, heat a dry pan over medium high heat and cook the seeds for 1 or 2 minutes. Set aside to cool.
In a blender, combine the strawberries, raspberries, banana and soy milk and blend on medium until the mixture is smooth. Then stir the Guarana through the mixture. Pour into a large glass. Top it with the toasted seeds and grated coconut.
